The pay-what-you-wish webinar will include a basic introduction to estate planning for visual, performing, and literary artists and other creative individuals. While estate planning is important for all adults, it’s especially key for artists. This program will provide guidance as to how artists and others may direct how their creative works will be handled after their death.
In this session, attorney Edward M. McCoyd brings his experience as a trust and estates attorney to help artists navigate:
Wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments
The possibility of appointing an executor or trustee to manage the copyrights in an artist’s estate
Providing for the administration of “digital assets,” such as the artist’s website, social media pages, etc
This program will include an hour of presentation, followed by ample time for Q&A.
