FS - Crowdfunding Marketing 2.0: Beyond the Basics

Description

Join Film Crowdfunding consultant Dor Dotson for an intermediate-level presentation on crowdfunding marketing for filmmakers and creatives who know the basics, and want to learn how to take their campaigns to the next level. This talk will be filled with lots of real-life examples and practical tips that anyone can do, without a ton of marketing or graphic design experience.

Film Crowdfunding consultant Dor Dotson will take us through topics such as:

  • The power of peer pressure: how to thank your backers in ways that will keep your project circulating and encourage others in your community to give.
  • Testimonials: how to turn your existing backers into powerful social proof for your project in ways that make them proud to keep posting.
  • Milestone incentives: how to manufacturer mini rallies before the final finish line to keep backers engaged.
  • Engagement prompts: how to build followers and ensnare backers by getting people talking about their connection to the project.
  • Rewards partners: how to identify and conceptualize partnerships with reward donors who will make your campaign more attractive to backers and help get the word out.
  • Utilizing virtual and in person events to generate buzz.
  • Incorporating user-generated content to give your backers a way to take part in unique, creative, loyalty-building ways.
  • Paid ads, affiliate marketing, and other ways to give a little and potentially get back a lot.
